Dr Mark Garcia's opening was almost verbatim from Dr Bahnsen's Stein debate. Don't get me wrong, it's good, that is why he used it.

Dear RN,

Regarding the comment by 'Ed' please allow me to say he is exactly right and I wouldn't want to mislead by suggesting otherwise. As I had noted in an e-mail I sent out last week regarding the debate, I did in fact use Bahnsen-Stein for my opening (and one other smaller section as a reply), and did so in large part because I do believe it is very good. The other reason is I was given very little time to prepare. Also, I might mention that I am astonished at how word of this relatively small-scale event has spread so quickly and so widely - so is the world in which we live! Thank you for praying with me that God might be pleased to use this little event to extend his kingdom.
